Hi everyone. I live an hour northwest of Toronto and I took up carriage driving with a welsh cross pony mare last year. I did the ground work then sent her out to be 'put-to' for a month, then I bought a road cart in August and we attended three events last fall. We're looking forward to when the snow melts a bit so we can start driving again and do a few shows this year. It's still a new sport for me although I've been riding for nearly 40 years (I just did the math on that one!?). I usually do a lot of trail riding with a couple of Paints and a Quarter Horse. This is the first chat room I've visited and it looks like it might be fun.

HI Karen!
Welcome to our little community!
I am glad that more and more people visit and post here.
A lot of others will profit from this hands-on experience.
Cheers,
